First trip into Manhattan!

Well we made our way into the big city finally!! The weather wasn't that great so we wanted to just hang around Times Square and figure out downtown before we got too adventurous. We got some friends to go with us and we made our way down. We decided to drive even though parking is outrageous even with a coupon it was $35 for 8 hours!! However, it was cheaper and faster then riding the train in so we did it. We briefly went to NBC Studios to get our passes and then we headed towards Times Square. We headed towards Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. This actually turned out to be quite fun! It was probably the closest we will ever get to the stars! :) After that, we were famished and decided to ask an NYPD officer where he would recommend we eat. He pointed us to a place about a block away called Bella Vita. This tiny place definitely didn't disappoint!! It was a nice little Italian place that was decently priced and had some really REALLY yummy Italian food. They only accepted cash though so poor Scott had to run a couple blocks to go get cash from Wells Fargo. After we had refueled we headed over to the Toys R Us because I had heard that they had a ferris wheel in their store and a life-size barbie house. Then we headed to the Empire State Building. It was getting later and we wanted to see the city up there at night. However, when we got there they said the view was pretty limited. After talking to everyone, it was decided that we didn't want to have to come back another day to see it so we went anyway. Well, after the lady handed us our tickets she said, "There's 0% visibility. Have fun!" ha ha ha but we decided to have a good attitude anyway. They weren't really lying when they said 0%!

The funniest part about this picture was actually the faces of two girls that were standing behind me!! ha ha
Yay spice girls!!! I just needed my Shelby and our diva poses and this picture would be complete!
Me and George holding hands ;)

That's right... an indoor full size ferris wheel!

This is was our 0% visibility view! ha ha
Top of the Empire State Building... so much fog!
All in all it was a really fun day!

  1. Looks like you guys are having a blast! Can't wait to see what else you guys go try. I highly recommend you check out Serendipity and get their frozen hot chocolate. AMAZING! I think I craved it for like a month after we went there.
