It's about time...

Probably time to post our last little adventure in New York now that we've been home for a few months now and some friends pointed out how often I update this thing. Oops... life gets so busy, especially with school and work but the good news is... this was my last semester!! Pause for a Moment of celebration for this lifelong student finally finishing something! ha ha

Anyways.. we decided to leave NY a little early... uh hem 3 am... so that we could visit the Sacred Grove and the Hill Camorah on our road trip home. It was a 5-6 hour drive out of our way but we thought it would be worth it and we didn't know if we would get the chance to do it again. All I can say is that it was an amazing experience and I strongly urge everyone who gets the chance, to make the inconvenient  trip to go and visit while in NY. There weren't any signs that said to be quiet and reverent while there, because they weren't needed! Once you walk into the sacred grove, the spirit of the place is so powerful that you just start whispering and being reverent without consciously doing so. You could barely even hear the footsteps of people walking around. I imagine that this is how heaven will feel like. The closest thing I can compare it to is the feeling in the temple. I literally could have spent all day in there. It is so peaceful and beautiful. I kept taking pictures to stall. But sadly we had to get on our way home.

We made a brief stop to the Hill Cumorah. This is quite the hill to climb. My legs were burning and we weren't even halfway up the hill. Obviously I didn't spend my time in NY working out like I probably should have, no excuses. :(  This hill was quite steep but luckily, they had switchbacks up to the top.
Then we made the trip across country in our little Yaris and spent our anniversary driving in the car for 18 hours. Happy 2 years to us! I can't believe how fast time has flown. I have loved every moment of being married to the love of my life and my best friend. I'm so grateful for him! He makes me laugh just about everyday and makes life fun. Luckily he has a good sense of humor and puts up with my ridiculous quirks.
